A few seconds of speedy running and the 56640 departs from the northern portal of Honnavar II tunnel. The Honnavar I and II are the only tunnels on KR with a circular cross section. The light at the end of the darkness is a small gap that separates the two concrete lined Honnavar tunnels. This gap is visible here.

As with many location on KR, the rail bridge also serves the needs of local residents. Aerial view 30th May 2012.
