Walayar Ghat Section

The good shepheard pose with his flock. As a coincidence, his name was Govindan
Moving towards Tamilnadu side from Walayar. The line B branches to the left while Line A braches right. The entire place looks brown because of the fly ash and dust sprayed from the Malabar Cements factory. Govt. of Kerala has really spoiled the ecolog
An old disused Water Tank. Look at it's colour, colour of the dust from the Cement Factory
View of the Malabar Cement factory from the distance. Why did the Government of Kerala start a cement factory inside this forest? Total ecological disaster. Aren't there any green peace activists around?
Erode WAG 7 with a BCNA load looks colourfull in these sad dust filled surroundings
Walking on through Line A towards Coimbatore and Tamilnadu. You get mistaken for a Hill Railway
Bingoo....after the curve, this is the scenery that you get. This bridge on the Walayar River seperates Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Note the Welcome to Tamilnadu board
Walayar Home Signal on Line A. The Malabar Cement factory seems to compete with the mountains. Who is taller?
Walayar Home Signal on Line A set against the beautifull Western Ghats. The signal turns green only after trains pass a certain point before the signal
Something for everyone here. An old manual point changer, a newer electric one, old lamp etc. look at the colour of the track ballast
Looks like some special permit is required inside the quarry. Any idea what this special permit is? Is it for the loco or for the train?
Line B turns left from Walayar towards Tamil nadu. On the ledt is the shunting line for the Malabar Cements loop
I liked this picture very much. Look at nature trying to regain control of mankind!! Fresh Algae grows on cement factory dust, painting green over dust brown colour
The home signal on Line B is on a less interesting location but inside a thick forest
The forest line proceeds towads Tamil nadu. I ended my trip here. I will go further sometimes later
