South India Darshan

Pictures from the Andaman express and the MG passenger from Vellore to Villapuram and return to MS by the 104 passenger. Gauge conversion may start from 1st July 2007 and this may well be one final ride for some IRFCA members to witness the MG route before it closes down for good.

Our train was made to wait for some time on this small bridge at Polur outer for the clearance signal (Ramesh) [Sid’s note : Ramesh should be commended on his efforts for taking this shot. None of us even thought of doing the same thing and Ramesh scram

As we enter Villapuram, the MG trip shed contains only a single YDM 4. But there were 4 more inside the station. (Sid)

Erode WDG-3A #13229 is at the helm of a BCNA rake at Villupuram goods sidings. It took the charge from a BRC WAG-5. (Ramesh)
