Next stop, Edamann station is around the point where the ghat begins. The worst of the grades were around 1 in 55.5 which is steep but since we were just a 5 coach train there were no problems

Its a thick jungle and the views are spectacular as we slowly climb the ghat. I should have taken this picture in color just to give you an idea.
