I tried to capture the "pleasure and pain" of the route here. Standing by the door is a pleasant experience thanks to the all round greenery of the thick vegetation of this line (Shoranur - Nilambur Rd). The pain are those teak leaves that will slap you on the face all along. Teak trees are planted very close to the tracks and the branches keep brushing with the train making it almost impossible to stand by the door. It is unusual to see them growing so close to each other. One wonders how would they grow laterally. 2007-08-16 Nilambur Rd. Ranganath Eunny
