The Erode WDM-2 reverses and joins the mainline to attach itself to the Shoranur passenger. A level crossing is just behind the loco and it must be closed to allow the loco to reverse. 2007-08-16 Nilambur Road Ranganath Eunny

One of the chief reasons I had gone all the way to Nilambur Rd. To see this 182 year old rosewood tree that the Southern Railway grandly presents through this board. Nearly missed it but caught it just as we were about to depart. 2007-08-16 Nilambur Rd. R

Tried my best to capture the celebrated Rosewood at Nilambur Rd. Finally succeeded in getting this snap from a moving train. The tree is too tall to capture in a single snap from such a close distance. A wonderful specimen though. 2007-08-16 Nilambur Rd.

Wonderful pictures - I really must go down to nagercoil one day! Sad to see Kottarakara in that state. Was a busy station, last time I passed! Seing pictures of Nilambur Road for the first time - thanks again!
