Bangarpet Jn-Kolar is one of the unique sections in IR - NG converted into BG few years back. This is part of “ONE TRAIN ONLY” Block section one of very few such sections in IR
Only one train is allowed into this section at any given time. Kolar is terminating point with no stations in between. This section is not controlled by controller and there are no block instruments. The authority is the baton shown in the picture. Cylindrical wooden rod with metallic sleeve on top with details engraved on it is the uniqueness of this. SM Bangarpet JN (BWT) is the controlling authority and gives to the train driver (Rail bus Driver) authorizing him to proceed towards Kolar (KQZ). It is to be handed over to the SM at Kolar (KQZ). Same repeated on reverse direction. (May be retained as ref. picture for FAQ)
