The Scouts and Guide are active again in the installation of the water column outside the Gooty station. Good work, “Gandhiji Rover” unit – this concept can replicated all over India, if the people took initiative! The semaphores and other relics have better use than being scrapped. The water column has the maker’s marking “The Pioneer Iron and Steel Corporation, 23.3.63”. It strikes some of us on the IRFCA that we are actually older than this monument….. Gooty, 2006-09-09
