Build-Run CBP-KQZ : A long-dead railway line gets a rebirth!

Pictures taken of the works-in-progress and Inaugural Ceremony of the Kolar-Chikballapur Railway Line which was closed for Gauge Conversion 17 years back. The line was taken up for conversion starting 2010 when we had covered it and it was finally thrown open to public on 8th November 2013!

SWR has spent a lot of funds on this line building high level PFs , FoBs at every major station and on the station Infra.
One only hopes traffic on this route increases to justify such spends.
