The New Kakinada Port Station and the Railbus. By Krupa Ratnam
The new Port station falls between Town and Port (old). If you observe carefully just under the starter/ little bit under the sign board, the old port station is visible hazily. Eventually all the rakes will be shifted to old port station for maintenance.
The new port station is going to have 3 platforms. Platform 1 is almost complete whereas 2 & 3 is still under construction. Note the water filling facility being installed. 2009-12-27. (Krupa Ratnam)
