After spending the week before in the Meter Gauge havens of Bihar & Uttar Pradesh we decided we will continue our Quest so we planned to visit a very picturesque section of Kasganj-Kachhla-Badaun which continues upto Bareilly and the massive meter gauge once a Rail-Road viaduct over the river Ganges. The location is here
The first action of the day on a dull and overcast day. The passenger service from Kasanj to Bareilly, trudges along the Kachhla river viaduct which was once shared by road traffic but another viaduct for road traffic is up now (Trayambak Ojha)
As the sky gets darker and rain starting to pour in torrents, a late running Gokul Express from Gonda to Kasganj via Bareilly appears on the Kachhla Ganga viaduct (Trayambak Ojha)
As we chased the Gokul Express it crossed some really surreal rural surroundings like these (Trayambak Ojha)
This beautiful and functional semaphore Gantry at Manpur Nagariya greeted us with Gokul Express once again (Trayambak Ojha)
The chase for the train which started from Kachhla was on towards Kasganj as another viaduct is negotiated by the YDM4 from IZN (Trayambak Ojha)
The action shifted to Soron Shukra Kshetra where another of the semaphore gantries stood tall and handsome while the passenger to Bareilly moved ahead (Trayambak Ojha)
The area was flooded and clearly the Uttarakhand tragedy had its affect here as localites claimed to have seen bodies in the river here too spill out to the shores. The Passenger service is ready to depart amidst the water shores (Trayambak Ojha)
The last daylight service of the day to Bareilly arrives at Manpur Nagariya station guarded by three semaphores (Trayambak Ojha)
And we end our sojourn with a farewell by the IZN YDM4 smokin to its glory completing our desire for the day and ending another successful trip to the Meter Gaue havens. (Trayambak Ojha)
