Yes Dr. Mulky, you are right.BG Line to Katangi (Not in this picture) radiates to west of Balaghat. However, BG platform at Balaghat is located eastwards, so Katangi BG line has to cross Nainpur NG line.

I saw from the timetable board at Balaghat that the BG line has been extended to Katangi. That is why Balaghat is a junction, with lines going to Gondia and Katangi (BG) and Jabalpur (NG).
