Some years back you could travel from Delhi to Bangalore in a Meter Gauge train. Akola-Khandwa section was a part of that corridor. Now this section including the famed Spiral at Dhulghat all are a part of Core & Buffer areas of Melghat Tiger Reserve
When there was no action, the Langur Monkeys made the viaduct and tracks their playing ground (Trayambak Ojha)
After a brief break another train from Khandwa side curves through the Jungle. (Trayambak Ojha)
The Spiral and the train crossing below it. In a short while it will climb the helical path towards Akola (Trayambak Ojha)
And the train disappears in the dense Jungle (Trayambak Ojha)
An attempt to pan the train after it climbed the gradient over the viaduct (Trayambak Ojha)
With this we bade farewell to a super location as the weather was turning hostile once again (Trayambak Ojha)
We shifted our base now to another remote location in the Tiger Reserve and our only company was this semaphore hanging in head to indicate the ruler of the tracks was arriving shortly. (Trayambak Ojha)
And the train emerges after climbing a small gradient. (Trayambak Ojha)
And we end the day and the tour with the train disappearing deep in the Forest. (Trayambak Ojha)
"Chaar ka aakhda" or the Spiral ,revisited and again an editing attempt to show the beauty of the place with the trains merged (Vivek Pillay)
And at the end of every tunnel there is light (Vivek Pillay)
