Everyone has a spot where they became a railfan, this curve is it for me. My grandmothers house is a short walk from this crossing and the sights of fast moving ALCO's on passenger trains clearly made a lasting impression on me. Alot has changed from the early 90's photograph taken by my parents of the Delhi to Jaipur Shatabdi and my photo of the Ala Hazrat express. When the first photo was taken GC must have been very recently completed as evidenced by the dust and spare railroad ties lying about. Today the level crossing is gone, replaced by an underpass and there are two tracks, sadly the Delhi-Jaipur (and now Ajmer) Shatabdi no longer features the beautiful specially painted WDM2's and matching ICF coaches.
