The newly introduced 'One Day Tourist Ticket' which allows Unlimited travel over entire Mumbai Suburban section over a period of 24 hours at an attractive rate of Rs. 50 for 2nd Class. Very useful especiallt for railfans who may want to explore various locations all over the city! -Karan Desai

Re-inventing the wheel: these day passes were there in 2002 and then scrapped. I made good use of one in 2002.
Delhi Metro has someting similar-Rs 70 for one day.
