A three coach DMU marked 'Wankaner-Morbi' seems lost in the cantenary jungle at Shahibag. Most probably going for maintenance at the DMU shed at Ahmedabad
The Abu Road bound DMU makes a scheduled halt at Sabarmati (SBI). This has got to be one of the longest DMU's in the country. On this particular day, it had 4 power cars in a total rake length of 13. 2006-02-28.
For those who miss DMUs in their backyards, this is Ludhiana-Amritsar DMU photographed near Phillaur Jn. Also see http://www.irfca.org/gallery/fc/DSC_0149.JPG.html which is the approaching capture of the same train.

Tilting at an odd angle, this DEMU, from VRI to SA, gently negotiates the bend from pf1 to the mainline. July 2008. Headlights "on" at our request! (poochivenkat)
After Poochi's turn comes mine! While some of the school kids are enthusiastic with the task assigned to them (to wave at the LP of the DMU), others try to sneak a glance at the camera! Vriddhachalam. Shot with Poochi's camera. (Sid Ganesh)

Here is a pic of the interiors of the 1400 HP HHPDEMU that was being tested between Chennai and Gummidipundi around 2 years back. The coaches are loaded to 200% of the design limits using sand bags (loaded the previous day at Doravarichatram near Naidupet
Equipment used by the RDSO for the HHPDEMU testing. Looks nothing more sophisticated than a strip chart recorder and a digital multimeter. The real joy must be in the transducers measuring the parameters. Photo by Apurva, 2001.
The other end of the intercom. View inside the HHPDEMU cab - the "other" loudspeaker... The satisfaction of having completed a successful trial is obvious. Photo by Apurva, 2001.
Exterior view of the HHPDEMU at MAS. At this time, the sweating ASM wanted the rake out of the station as the same platform was to receive hotshot trains in a few tens of minutes. Photo by Apurva Bahadur, 2001.
A new DEMU was spotted in the siding adjacent to the MLY shed. This is probably for the Miryalaguda shuttle from the SC region (Pic taken by Tejender Reddy). (R Viswa Chandra)
The SCR DEMU rake. Experts may please add info on its source and destination runs. (Vivek Mathur)
Strange looking DMU approaches Villivakkam from AJJ end. Does anybody have any idea on whether this rake will be used within India or would to be exported? (Photo by P.R.Sriram) (Aswin Kumar)
