Matheran Light Railway(MLR) engine No. 741 which was out of service at this time although 738 was in steam and 740 under repair. NDM1 class diesels No. 501-4 had already made their appearance here - Mick Pope(Dec. 29,1979)

Thanks a lot for the pic. This line too should have stayed with steam, like the DHR. I remember travelling with my parents on this line, behind such a loco, when I was a little kid
