Telco built YG #3213 of old Mariani Steam Locoshed is now plinthed outside Mariani station. The loco served last on 7th March 1997, but the introductory board in the front provides some wrong information regarding that. I remember the thence station master Mr. Dheereswar Das crying on the occasion of the last run. For railway men like him it was like departure of a kin (Santulan Mahanta)

I wish if IR preserve all its locos (either steam, diesel or electric) in front of every railway station instead of scrapping them !
