Whistle warning board with a graphical representation of an elephant below it. This is in Palakkad (PGT) - Podanur (PTJ) section in SR, a few hundred metres ahead of Walayar station. Malabar cements factory is a few hundred metres behind this board. Elephants are frequently sited on the periphery of the factory, its mines and on the periphery of Walayar station. These elephants are usually dorcile and never known to harm human or property eventhough many where killed by trains. (Rahul Nayar)

Is there any speed restriction due to the wildlife here? like you have on the way to Dehradun.
