While AC locos need only 6 or 8 indication lamps, the WCAM-1 loco has 12 indication lamps on the driver's desk. Also, they are located below the switchboard rather than beside it as in AC locos.A brief explanation:
LSS-To indicate line supply;extinguished when either AC or DC is available.
LSDJ/DS-To indicate status of DJ/DS;Extinguished when DJ/DS is closed.
LSMA-Extinguished when proper output voltage is available from the Motor-Alternator set.
LSQ-Signal lamp to indicate overload in Traction Motors.
LSRSI-Signal lamp to indicate over-voltage/imbalance in Silicon Rectifier blocks.
LSRN-Signal lamp to indicate resistance notches in DC line working.
LSGR/SC-Lights up when the Tap-Changer(GR-in AC line)/Servo-Controller(SC in DC line)reaches zero position.
LSP-Indicates wheel slip
LSTR-This lamp flickers when transition takes place(between 21 and 22 notch)from series to series-parallel during DC line working.
LSCHBA-Extinguished when battery charger is working.
LSQCBS-Signal lamp to indicate earth fault in power circuit during DC line working.
LSR-1-To indicate R-1 contactor open during DC line working.
