50mm is purely the field of view with one eye. Now if we look at the world with both, it doesnt look distorted though the angle of view is greater. This is because it is wide and not Ultrawide. Similarly even in telephoto, I would consider the film...

Similarly even in telephoto, I would consider the film 135mm to be the first focal lenghts at which compression gets noticed.
