new jalpaiguri - samuktala (via siliguri and alipurduar jn) has been converted to broad gauge.

When I was there about 2 weeks ago, NJP-Siliguri Jn was broad gauge but not yet opened. The rails were shiny from works trains though, so it can't be long now. The 2' gauge on this section was also closed but apparently complete. Metre gauge on this...

What is the status of BG conversion between New Jalpiguri and Alipur Duar. And the doubling between Alipur Duar and Guwhati?
