@ Apurva, there was a plan as long back as the 90s to air-brake the freight stock working the Barak Valley Section. I'm guessing some of that has been put into action, hence the need for dual braked YDM4s.

A dual braked YDM4! Why do the Lumding YDM4s need air brake capabilities? Do MG wagons/coaches with air brakes exist - maybe just in these parts? Local railfans, please find answers.
