YDM-4 #6310 prepares to start with the last ever trip of train #744, from Punalur. The passenger rush on this train was so high, that many people (me included) had to return dejected. A couple of media persons said that there were passengers even on top of the coaches the previous evening. Curtains have been drawn on the 110-year old line. ()

I traveled in the route which was my first trip and enjoyed its final run. The loco was 6401. I traveled on 19th afternoon.
