WDS class of locomotives

A WDS-4 rests outside Kishanganj stn. I concider these locos as the cutest locos on the IR fleet. 23/12/2006. Ankit Bharaj.

A Kurla based WDS4 #19623 rushes southwards through Kurla with a long 10-Coach assorted rake. She had WDS4 #19640 at the rear to assist her!

WDS4D #19710 heads a motley rake of coaches most likely towards the Nizamuddin Coach Care Centre. One can spot a Saloon and Rajdhani coaches amongst others.

WDS 6 36012 undergoing load box test at ERS Shed. During the test, the output from alternator is fed to a series of resistors immersed in water instead of the Traction Motor. Only a specified amount of fuel is used for the test

WDS4 locos are not really known for smoking. However #19710 from Shakurbasti wants to show a thing or two off to its Alco cousins.

GOC WDS-6 #36021 runs light towards AJJ near Avadi ROB. It returned after 3 hours of short duty somewhere which was spotted at Avadi RS. (Ramesh)

Poor old Pune WDS-6 # 36106 working hard emmiting smoke while pulling a fully Loaded BCNA Rake. The condition of the WDS-6 was very bad. One can see the left eye of the WDS-6 completely damaged. ()
