Perhaps the only regular Samastipur link to New Delhi - The Bihar Sampark Kranti heads out behind WDM3A #16038R. This train runs diesel under wires all the way to Lucknow from New Delhi. The loco will haul the loco through to Darbhanga.

Kazipet WDM3A #18890 rushing past my train (1013 LTT-CBE Express) with the 1082 Kanniyakumari-Mumbai CST Express somewhere between Kosigi and Kupgal. Both the trains were going at more than 80kmph.

This is 1 of several WDM3A-WDM3D combos being used for freight services in SCR. The locos here being 14021 and 11150.
