Considering the curve, the inner surface of the outer rail should be polished. Also, in a straight line track, if the track is laid well, only a small band at the top of the rail will be polished (showing that there is no lateral swaying of the bogie...

Some more width in horizontal direction would have helped (golden ratio of 4:3). Right now the WDM is "suffocating" otherwise impressive image. Rails appear rusted, head surface not gleaming - is it a lesser used road?
