Great Indian Peninsular (GIP) Railway Carshed, Parel. They laid the first railway track in India in 1853. 21 miles long tracks were laid from Boribunder(now Mumbai) to Thanna(now Thane) and was opened to public on 16th April 1853! Courtesy: Baalard Pier, Mumbai (Ranjeet Ramaswamy Iyer)
