Workmen engaged in the construction of a railway carriage at Parel. This carriage has a steel underframe 60' long resting on 4-wheeled bogies spaced at 40' centers. The carriage has a guard's compartment at one end, next a small first-class saloon to seat 6, then a large third-class room for 48 passengers and a smaller private one for 12 women; a luggage compartment is at the other end.
