A different part of town. This is the erstwhile Asarwa goods yard. After the death of the textile mills in ADI, the yard slowly faded away and lies in a dilapidated state today

Must say I am impressed by your memory. This is facing ADI. Google earth shows the alignment for the bypass line. Might be interesting to take a walk there one of these days.

If I am not mistaken, this is facing Ahmedabad. Sad to see the dilapidated state of the yard. When I traveled on the MG DEE-ADI Exp. back in December of 2000, we crossed the yard at dawn and came to a halt just after it. There is an ADI bypass line...
If I am not mistaken, this is facing Ahmedabad. Sad to see the dilapidated state of the yard. When I traveled on the MG DEE-ADI Exp. back in December of 2000, we crossed the yard at dawn and came to a halt just after it. There is an ADI bypass line that takes off just after the yard to join the line towards Sabarmati. Wonder if it's still there.
