Silence of this typical sleepy rural Kerala temple is stirred by the roar of a lion. Chennai-Alleppey Express, hauled by Arakkonam's WAP 1 22002 pass by the ancient Kottaram Temple near Cherthala. The temple pond in front is filled with water lilies. Also note the typical pure white sand found in Cherthala area; which is in great demand for exports (Jimmy Jose)
