A reminder of MG days on MMR-AWB section. This unused MG rail is hung and a mettalic rod is inserted within it. This unused MG rail is struck with the mettalic rod whenever a train is ready to depart from DLB. Pic taken at daulatabad station which is 18kms away from aurangabad (Maharashtra). ()

WOuld this station be the dis-embarkation point for the Daulatabad fort (Deogiri ) ?

This system is still followed on most of the small stations. Appreciate the skill of the khalashi to get typical tone from the striking.
