An EMU crosses over the Up and Down fast lines after crossing over from the Down slow line as it heads towards the Pattabiram E depot. Due to this unique occurrance, passengers at this station are always on their feet as they can expect the local to turn up either from the Avadi side or the Pattabiram Electric depot side. They cross the tracks dangerously from the main station towards the island platform when they hear the horn of a local approaching from the depot side. (Pawan Koppa)
