Curzon bridge: View of the original bridge. All the earlier images were taken from the top deck which was a road bridge. The level below was meant for rail traffic.
Curzon Bridge: The LTT-Chhapra express emerges from the morning mist onto the bridge. Below the Ganges flow serenely.
Curzon Bridge: This is the top deck meant for road traffic. The railway deck is below this. The bridge is defunct now and road and rail have got new bridges adjoining this old one.
Curzon Bridge: Typical detail at joint. Two plates join each other in a sw tooth formation. The gaps must have also acted as expansion joints. Little bits of asphalt from when the bridge was in use can also be seen.
