A long way from home!Under typically grim Welsh clouds ex-Darjeeling 'B' class #819 makes a guest appearance at the Ffestiniog Railway,Portmadog, steam gala last year. A much travelled loco that went first to the US before arriving in the UK. The carriages are newly built replicas - the decadent affluent West! This ng line carried slate from the mountains to the port and its own original locos were also 0-4-tanks[which still exist] but not as powerful as the 'B's. They later had double ended 'Fairlie type 0-4-4-0 tanks with two boilers,two articulated steam power bogies and one firebox. If anyone is interested I will post pics in the 'Foreign' album.
