Burma Teak for Indian Railways

The Government of India signed an agreement in Rangoon on April 29 with the State Timber Board of Burma for the purchase of 15,000 tons of teak timber valued at about Rs. 135 lakhs. The timber will be used by the Indian Railways for coach construction and repair works.
