This is the first time we have ever walked inside a KR tunnel and it was a nice experience. The height as well as the width of the tunnel is much larger than the average Bhore ghat hole. There is a nice walkway on one side with adequate side clearance on the other side that contains an open gutter. The curves, gradients and kilometer markers are clearly marked by the side of the track. This particular tunnel was not lit inside being very small in length. Outside is that magical moment of the morning when the fog is starting to lift. (Apurva)
