KM 912 - KM 947
A railway trek undertaken by a group of 5 railfans from Chichonda to Ghudankhapa (KM 912 - KM 921), a distance of 9 kms on the Teegaon-Chichonda ghat section between Itarsi & Nagpur. The team also covered the 'loop' at Darimeta station. The team comprised of Anish Niranjan, Jatin Bhavsar, Sachin Buddhisagar, Siddhartha Ganesh & Vivek Pillay (Old Man). All the photos are taken with due permission from CPRO office, Central Railway.
Walking on tracks can be painful. Even though there is a flat platform to walk on, this gangman shows no signing of shirking from his job as he continues to walk on the heavy ballast laden tracks from Chinchonda to Teegaon. (Sid)

The Dakshin express bound for Delhi cruises through Chinchonda with a LGD based WAP 7 #30274. The train did not need bankers because of the white power monster. (Sid)

The bankers for the BCNA rake get detached at Chinchonda. They waited for the JP-MAS express to cross before they headed down to Teegaon again. (Sid)
The JP-MAS express hauled by a RPM based WAP 4 #22795 crosses Chinchonda at moderated speeds. From this angle, CCD looks a bit like BYPL. (Sid)

Ajni WAG 9 #31247 plays the role of a braker while rolling down the ghats. It's supported by a pair of bankers (acting as brakers in this occasion) and the regular loco of an HCPV rake. (Sid)

The legendary Tamil Nadu express with it's customary WAP 4 from Erode makes it's way out of the 1918 built tunnel. (Sid)
BHEL built WAG 7 in a WAP 4 shell ascends the ghats with a heavy loaded BOXN rake. It had just come out of the first tunnel from the Khapa (a break testing station) side. (Sid)
