IGATPURI
SUPER TRIP Part II
|
ACTION
AT KASARA
Scene at the Kalyan
end of Kasara station. Pushpak appears to be flaunting its superfast status
as it powers into Kasara horns blaring. Meanwhile, Sewagram Express which
transported us from Igatpuri has resumed its journey to Mumbai. On the
right is a Igatpuri bound heavy freight with a Kalyan WDM2 at the rear.
In the background you can spot the the triple WCG2 lashup which would serve
as bankers for Pushpak.
Scene at the Igatpuri
end. The bankers have been attached and Pushpak pulls out of Kasara. A
gang up of BHEL units - the WCAM3 passes a pair of WCAG1s heading the freight
whose tail end was seen in the previous picture.
The train heads up the
Thal Incline. For a change, the entire 20 coach rake was made up of the
Blue and Cyan liveried stock and looked absolutely fabulous.
With close to 16,000
HP on tap, Pushpak is adequately powered to tackle the 1/37 grade. In future,
if my polite requests for footplating are declined, I know what to do!
