CHENNAI - MUMBAI (March 2001) Chennai - Mumbai - Chennai (1064 up / 6011 dn)

Early morning arrival at Guntakal for the Chennai bound 6011. Guntakal WDM2 18416 is still wearing Itarsi shed colors. The platform appears to be undergoing a major renovation.

The location - Bhakrapeta (AP). The Mumbai bound 1064 ("super" in SCR parlance)  roars by on the main line, while the Chennai bound 6011 waits patiently in the loop line. Note the unusual Green and Blue livery on the Guntakal WDM2. Unfortunately, both the colors weather poorly.

Another shot of the 1064 - note the clean CR rake. The 6011 in contrast had a badly in need of a scrub SR rake.

New kid in the (absolute?) block, WDG4 12009 doing banker duty between Renigunta and Cudappah.

6011 at Renigunta. The WDM2 is being detached after having done its job. The doggie looks quite contented.
