In Eastern Railway Black beauty Contests were held almost every year for promoting good maintenance practices among Steam Loco Maintenance staff for the ageing steam locomotives. The last one was held at Asansol on 21-12-1991. Only a few photographs are given below. The quality of pictures are not good. But they bear some nostalgic importance.
