How much of steam can the YG 4252 produce? This is the
effervescent start of the 412 Dn. Although the loco is putting on
such a great show, the rake is just about moving. I am still on the
ground, walking with the rake, as is evident from my shadow.
The rake starts crawling and I get on the train. Note that the
train is starting off the platform, no passenger seems to mind. For
that matter, there were no fellow passengers in the entire train to
mind!
Note the carriage filling water gantry.
A couple of spectacular and loud strokes later, the rake
struggles a couple of meters ahead. The morning chill holds the
white wet vapour cloud with the moving loco. Regrettably there were
three tankers between us rail nuts and the aggressive loco.
