WP 7161 at Bandra Marshalling Yard (BAMY), Mumbai

This are pictures of the Sahranpur shed WP 7161 at BAMY on the 15th February 2000. This loco was steamed on that day to take part in the shooting of a film. Viraf Mulla was there to take these historical pictures.

The BAMY is a busy place. It holds both freight and passenger rakes. The dual voltage WCAM1s and WCAM2s have a trip shed in BAMY. There is also a diesel shed which homes WDS4 shunting powers and provides trip services to outstation diesel visitors.

The visual clutter and confusion of the event is inevitable given the lack of space in Mumbai and the extreme levels of railway activity in this area.
