Mayby they were replaced with the tracks we see now. The curved tracks look in no condition to be used.

The curved rails were ...'curved'. There is no compression due to the zoom lens. No idea what they were meant for

Good Pic, Abhijit, I am quite sure that, the blotches on the top right are dust on the sensor. It may be a good idea to find a way of removing it.

Nice photo Abhijit! Bizzy, the rails probably are not that curved but because of the telephoto of about 100mm used, they are compressed. The rails are to replace the old rails.

A "neat" view, thanks to the wireless territory! Why are there so many of those curved rails in the foreground? - Makes for an interesting view nevertheless~!

Thanks Apurva, it was my pleasure. Right, I failed to notice the unusual positioning of the horns. The wagons are BOBRN class hopper wagons, which are very common here.

In fact, this is very close to Nagothane station (0.5km). The terrain in Konkan is such that the countryside closes in very quickly before/after the station. Sometimes, even at the station!
