Dear Mr Krishnan
The first Jumbo that rolled out was 17791, now at LKO. 17994 is also a jumbo, at KTE shed.

Way back in March 1987, this loco once hauled the then 54 Hyd-Mas Exp. all the way from Hyd to Mas. It then went to Gooty and was used in the Braganza Ghats as a banker. A pic of this is available in Phil Wormald's site. Now, since the bankers are all WDM3As, this loco has come back to KZJ. Incidentally, this is only the second Jumbo manufactured by DLW, the series having begun with 17795.

No Manish, the Delhi Ahemdabad Mail too is double headed. But this is Ashram as both UP and Down mails reach Delhi Cantt when it is still dark ie roughly around 1125 pm and 5 am or so.

According to a TPJ driver, the Time Delay Relay (TDR) is very sensitive in this loco from the 6th to the 8th notches. It doesn't entertain aggressive notching.

Synchronised smoking. Agree about the lively livery. Got bored of the blue KJM livery!

Lovely pic!!! A similar feeling is felt at Ulhasnagar on the Mumbai-Pune route, and on the sharp curve between Diva Jn, and the Parsik Tunnel.
