While its really exciting to see the dawn of new Era on WR, Mumbai, which was hitherto seen dominated by 1500V DC, now this section has started becoming just an other AC section, elsewhere on IR :-)

Do they move about independently, such that they can "accidentally" cross over into DC territory?

Dear Ujjawal, a small typo error from my end. I meant to say apart from BRC WAP-4E’s in Mumbai, we will get to see ED/RPM and GZB WAP4’s too. Many Thanks for the overall detailed description too.

@Arzan: BRC WAP-4E is not a regular link for JP-MAS S/F, its regular link is an ED/RPM WAP-4 alongwith JP-CBE exp also while JP-MYS S/F gets LGD WAP-4 and JU-PURI usually gets ET WAP-4, all these 4 trains shares same slot between Nagpur and Jaipur.

Anamitra. There was a thread in the forum, of a circular from RB about the allotment of WAP5s to BRC. In that PDF, there was a clear mention of using ED/RPM WAP4s on the SWM BCT section for BCT JP express. I see it practically implemented today (ofcourse - offlink with LGD).
