Brilliant set of pictures!!!! The atmosphere in the ghats is awesome during monsoon, I experienced it last year and was the best expereince.... Thanks for sharing these lovely images!!!!!

Fumigated? Did the British/ Portuguese believe that the Portuguese/ British would smuggle in some deadly germs in the trains?

Ramdev, KR tracks were washed away near Nivsar because of heavy rains last month. That accounts for the diversion of KR trains (Rajdhani included) via Kalyan - Pune - Londa - Madgaon. The damage has been repaired now and trains are going on their normal route.

Manohar, thanks for pointing out the monkey. Totally missed him because of the mesmerizing shot of the train passing through a wall of water.
