ABR-1929 map

This zone was totally isolated from the rest of the country. Also note the line planned between Silghat and Jorhat to Amguri. This would have cut right through the heart of the Kaziranga National Park.

SUBURBS of DELHI - 1909 MAP

When was the railway line realignment done? India Gate was built in 1921 and New Delhi established as capital in 1931. So for some years, trains must have been actually passing next to the monument. Also the old Nizamuddin station seems to be on the road connecting Humayun's tomb with Safdarjang's tomb (Lodhi Road). Any signs of its remains today?

Gwalior

Many thanks, Harsh. Very helpful.
Two comments - my recollection is of the reversing triangle being slightly to the right on the map - on the other side of Victoria Road between the BG line and the siding going off to the south. Second, surely the junctions at Ghosipura and with the Bhind line are shown incorrectly. As per the map a train going Gwalior to Sabalgarh would have to reverse twice!

Any idea when this pic was taken. Also, does the Ballard Pier station exist now?
