This album contains photo taken between Palsadhari and Jambrung. This section has 21 tunnels on all the three lines put together. Hypothetically, if one were to extend the railway line leaving Palasdhari towards Lonavala, in a straight line (on an incline), it would reach Jambrung. In reality, the line effectively traverses almost a semicircle around foothills of Fort Songiri, to reach Jambrung and gaining more than 200 feet in altitude along the path.

KYN’s WCG2 #20152 emerges out of Tunnel #12 on the DN line with 1029 Koyna Express in tow. The headlights will be switched off only after crossing the last tunnel, #52 on DN line which is just after Khandala.
KYN’s WDM2 18218 resembles an HO scale model loco. The flat bed wagon next to the loco is carrying OHE poles.
The other end of the rake had a CLA’s WDS4D # 19672.
Nice way to end a fruitful rail fanning session. KJM’s WDP4 #20027 with the Bangalore-CSTM Udyan Express at Khadki.
The OHE maintenance rake arrives at Jambrung. The crew was to work in the Thakurwadi-Palasdhari section on the UP line for upgrading the OHE to 25KV.
