The views of the Tata bridge – this carries the mid and up line over the massive water pipes that lead water from the Valvan dam (near Lonavala) to the hydro electric station at Khopoli (down in the valley floor) – all owned and operated by Tatas. The water generates the electricity for running some of the railways in the Mumbai region. The pipes are encased in a cage of rails, perhaps to protect them from boulder damage or maybe a derailment.
